Rome: PM Narendra Modi will meet the Top Leader of Catholic Christianity Pope Francis (Pope Francis) alone before delegation-level talks in Vatican City on Saturday. Daron is expected to discuss the global scenario in respect of cases like coronavirus. Briefing about PM Modi's programmes in Italy, Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla (Harsh Vardhan Shringla) said on Friday, "PM Modi will meet the most respected Pope in person and then after some time, there will be delegation-level talks. Shringla explained that the Vatican has not set an agenda for the talks.''

He said, 'I believe that when there is a conversation with the Most Respected (Pope), no agenda is set and we respect it. I am confident that in the meantime, we will generally be involved in discussions on the global scenario and issues that are important to us.' He said, 'Covid-19, health issues, how can we work together... These are some of the topics I believe can be discussed.'

The Vatican is a city-state surrounded by Rome and is the headquarters of the Roman Catholic Church. This year's G-20 Summit is set to be held in Rome. While last year's summit was organized by Saudi Arabia. PM Modi is scheduled to meet a host of international leaders on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit. These include meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron, Indonesian President Joko Widodo and Singapore's PM Lee Hosen Loong.
