New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi will hold an important meeting on class XII examinations this evening. After intensive brainstorming with all states and other stakeholders, they will be told in relation to all possible options. Sources have informed about this. Several states, including Delhi, said that the exam should be conducted only after vaccination. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has proposed to conduct examinations between July 15 and August 26 and announce the results in September. The board has also proposed two options. These include the option of conducting regular examinations at notified centres for 19 major subjects in one or conducting short-term exams only in schools students.

On the other hand, the Maharashtra Education Minister had said after Sunday's meeting that the state was still in favour of the idea of conducting an evaluation without conducting an examination. The Punjab government has also opted for another option. However, he reiterated that students should be vaccinated against covid before the exam.
