New Delhi: PM Narendra Modi will hold a virtual meeting with chief ministers of all states today to discuss the ongoing corona epidemic situation in India. The meeting, which will be held through video conferencing, will discuss the new wave of coronavirus. At the same time, the vaccination drive will also be discussed. PM Modi's last discussion with chief ministers on the issue of the epidemic was on March 17.

PM Modi had recently expressed serious concern over the rising cases in some states and asked for swift and decisive steps to stop the second wave. Earlier, PM Modi had also suggested a five-point formula in a high-level meeting with senior officials, which called for an investigation, identification of people exposed to infected people, treatment, strict adherence to corona rules, and vaccination.

This is the second time in three days that more than one lakh cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in a day. According to data released by the Ministry on Wednesday, the number of patients undergoing treatment has also increased to 8,43,473, up from 6.59 percent of the total cases of infection, as the number of infection cases in the country has increased for the 28th consecutive day.
