Buniadpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday asked the voters in West Bengal to put a brake on "Speed-breaker Didi" Mamata Banerjee's rule and end the "politics of threat, loot, and corruption". Lashing out at TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said: "speed breaker didi" has lost her sleep after the first two phases of the Lok Sabha polls in West Bengal.
"Don't you want this politics of threat, loot, and corruption to end? Then come out from every household in every village, town, nook, and corner and give the Trinamool a befitting reply for unleashing a rule of terror. Rise up Bengal give your response on May 23," PM Modi said.
Addressing an election rally here in South Dinajpur district, Modi accused the Mamta Banerjee of fooling people in the name of 'ma, Mati and manush' (mother, land, and people). "Speedbreaker didi has lost her sleep after the reports that came in the post the first and second phase of polling in the state," the PM Modi said here in a rally.
Mr. Modi also flayed Banerjee for allowing people from the "neighboring country" to campaign for the Trinamool Congress in the state. "It is shameful that people from the neighboring country are campaigning for the TMC. This was done by the party to appease the minority community," he said. The Prime Minister criticized Banerjee for seeking proof of the Balakot airstrikes in Pakistan and asked her to, instead, collect evidence against those behind chit fund scams.
