Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a two-day visit to Saudi Arabia and late Monday night, PM Modi reached the King Saud Palace in the capital Riyadh. At the same time, the Prime Minister landed in King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh by a special flight of Air India where he was warmly welcomed and Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Riyadh at the invitation of Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. During this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said in an interview with Saudi Arabia's local media 'Arab News' that, "India is a strategic partner of Saudi Arabia, as well as New Delhi,  has good relations with Riyadh and both countries are global. They also believe in standing together and fighting on the issue of security and terrorism. ''

He further added that "India imports 18 percent crude oil from Saudi Arabia, which makes Saudi the second-largest importer of crude oil for India. We are now moving towards a closer strategic partnership which will include Saudi investment in oil and gas projects." Further, the Prime Minister said, "We are important and reliable sources of Saudi Arabia for the energy needs of our country. " I appreciate being in it. We believe that stable oil prices are important for the development of the global economy, as well as the economies of developing countries. Saudi is participating in setting up a large refinery and petrochemical project on the west coast of India. Apart from this, we are also keen on Aramco's participation in India's strategic petroleum reserves. ''

Further, in his interview, he said, "India and Saudi Arabia are working together for inequality and sustainable development in the G20." He said that I am happy to know that Saudi Arabia will host the G20 summit next year and India will host it in 2022 on the 75th anniversary of its independence. I believe that Asian powers like India and Saudi Arabia share the same security concerns in their neighborhoods. In that regard, I am happy that our cooperation is very good in the area of terrorism, security and strategic issues, especially in progress. ''
