PM returns from foreign visit, and asks Nadda about situation in India

NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi concluded his highly productive six-day visit to the United States and Egypt, returning to India in the early hours of June 26. The visit was marked by significant milestones, including the signing of several landmark agreements that would strengthen bilateral relations.

Upon his arrival at the Delhi airport, Prime Minister Modi was warmly received by Union Minister of State for External Affairs, Meenakashi Lekhi, and BJP Chief J. P. Nadda. Notable BJP leaders and party MPs from Delhi, including Harsh Vardhan, Hans Raj Hans, and Gautam Gambhir, were also present to greet him.

On June 21, in New York, Prime Minister Modi led a historic event at the UN Headquarters to commemorate the 9th International Day of Yoga. This event showcased the immense significance of yoga and its global appeal.

Red-Carpet Welcome at the White House- In Washington, D.C., President Joe Biden extended a red-carpet welcome to Prime Minister Modi at the White House. The leaders engaged in a historic summit on June 22, followed by Prime Minister Modi's address to Congress. In honor of his visit, the Bidens hosted a State Dinner at the White House.

Strengthening Cooperation in Key Areas- The visit witnessed the signing of several crucial agreements to enhance cooperation in vital sectors such as defense, space, and trade. These agreements serve as a solid foundation for further strengthening the ties between the two nations.

After concluding his high-profile state visit to the U.S., Prime Minister Modi arrived in Cairo on June 24. Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly warmly welcomed him at the airport. During his visit to Egypt, Prime Minister Modi engaged in meaningful discussions with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, culminating in the conferment of Egypt's highest honor, the 'Order of the Nile,' upon him.

Prime Minister Modi and President El-Sisi focused on augmenting the strategic partnership between their respective countries. Their discussions emphasized improving trade and investments, energy cooperation, and people-to-people ties. As a testament to the growing ties, India and Egypt elevated their relationship to the level of a "Strategic Partnership."
Upon his return to India, Prime Minister Modi inquired about the ongoing developments in the country. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari shared that the Prime Minister had asked about the party's outreach program, and party leaders had been actively connecting with the public to present the government's nine-year report card. Tiwari further expressed that the country is content with the government's performance.

BJP MP Parvesh Verma informed reporters that Prime Minister Modi expressed his interest in understanding the current state of affairs in the country and the progress of the party's public outreach program. The MPs apprised the Prime Minister of the ongoing initiatives, highlighting their effectiveness.
