New Delhi: Following the NDA meeting held in the national capital on Tuesday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has taken a strategic approach to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections by forming ten groups of alliance MPs. Each group, consisting of 35-40 members, will convene under the leadership of PM Modi from July 25 onwards. This novel approach seeks to add complexity and diversity to the alliance's decision-making process.
The idea of holding meetings region-wise is a first for the NDA leaders. This move aims to strengthen the organization in the run-up to the crucial Lok Sabha General Elections. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is striving to secure a 50 percent vote share in the election while collaborating with its allies. As part of its election strategy, the BJP leadership has identified 160 constituencies where they are putting in extra efforts to improve their prospects.
In contrast to the united front presented by the opposition, the NDA held a significant meeting on July 18, with leaders from 38 parties attending in Delhi to consolidate their alliance. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while addressing a gathering in Karnataka's Bengaluru, expressed confidence in the people's decision to bring the ruling government back in 2024. He took a light-hearted jab at the opposition parties, urging people to remain vigilant and highlighting the need to stay focused on the country's progress.
PM Modi emphasized that the opposition meeting resembled a "kattar bhrashtachar sammelan" (a gathering of hardcore corruption). He pointed out the irony of individuals accused of corruption being respected and honored at such gatherings, which he dubbed as a "specialty" of those meetings. The Prime Minister urged the people to be cautious and alert regarding the intentions of such gatherings.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's proactive approach in forming and chairing ten groups of NDA's MPs showcases an effort to introduce complexity and diversity into their strategy sessions. As they gear up for the 2024 elections, the BJP and its allies are determined to secure a substantial vote share and strengthen their position in various constituencies. The opposition's united front is met with the Prime Minister's confident assurance that the people have already made their decision for the upcoming elections.
