New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started the Ro-Pax service between Hazira to Ghogha in Gujarat through video conferencing today. On this special occasion, he also addressed. In his address, he said, "With the introduction of Ro-Pax service between Ghogha and Hazira today, the dreams of the people of both Saurashtra and South Gujarat have been fulfilled for many years, the wait for years has ended."


On this special occasion, PM Modi said, 'Ministry of Shipping is being renamed, now this ministry will be known as Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways'. He also said, 'The distance of the road between Ghogha and Hazira from this service to 375 km now will be only 90 km through the sea. That is, the distance which used to take 10 to 12 hours to cover, will now take 3-4 hours. This will save time, your expenses will also be reduced. '

In his address, the Prime Minister said, 'It has taken a lot of labour to develop facilities like Ro-Pax Ferry service in Gujarat, many difficulties have come in the way. I am thankful to all those colleagues, to all the engineers, to the workers, who kept up with courage.' PM Modi has shared his video on his own Twitter and has written in the caption, 'Next generation transport and infrastructure for Gujarat. #ConnectingIndia'
