On Monday, a model cum actress Kritika Chaudhary was found dead in her apartment in Mumbai.

Police confirmed the death a murder. "At this stage, one cannot say for certain if the woman was murdered or she committed suicide. However, based on the decomposed nature of the body, it seems she died 2-3 days back. We are investigating. The door was locked from outside," police told to a tabloid.

They added, "The AC of the room was on so that smell could not come out soon. We believe she was murdered three to four days ago." After the post mortem report, "Police has received the post-mortem report some time back and after going through it, we have filed an offense of murder," Paramjeet Dahiya, the deputy commissioner said.

Alsi Kritika's brother said, "We tried to speak to her on June 12, after we did not receive a call since June 8. Finally, police attended the call and told us about the incident. We cremated her body in Andheri later."
