The Applications for posts of police constables (Executive) in Andaman and Nicobar have been invited. Interested and qualified candidates can apply.

The application can be done both offline and online. The last date for applying online is October 4. Those who make the offline application will be given additional 9 days. The offline application will be accepted until October 13 till 5 pm.

Eligibility: 12th examination from the recognized board/institution is passed or equivalent qualification.

Scale: 5200 to 20,200 Grade Pay Rs 2000

Age limit (on 04 October 2017)

Male: Minimum 18 years and a maximum of 25 years

Female: Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years

- OBC candidates will be given athree year relaxation.

- The SC / ST category will be given a maximum of five years relaxation in the age limit.

168 centimeters (for the unreserved section)
Height: Female
155 centimeters (for women of all classes)
Chest (for men only)
 Normal 81 centimeters and 85 centimeters on flowering

Physical Efficiency Examination:
Run:
For men: One kilometer of the race must be completed in eight minutes.
For women: The half-kilometer race must be completed in a maximum of five minutes.
Log jump:
For men: minimum 12 feet jump (three in turn)
For women: minimum 8 feet jump (three in turn)
High jump:
For men: minimum 4 feet jump (three in turn)
For women: minimum 3 feet jump (three in turn)

Application fee: Not payable.

Selection Process :
Eligible candidates will be selected on the basis of written examination and physical fitness test.Written examination will be of qualifying nature and its marks will not be added to the last merit list.Candidates who have passed the written test will be called for the Physical Skills Examination.

Appointments will be given on the basis of the marks obtained in it.
Nature of examination

Written Test:

In the written examination, questions related to General Aptitude will beasked with general knowledge, mathematics, Hindi, and English. All questions will be of class 12th standard. Question paper will be in both languages (Hindi and English). The candidate will have the option of giving a question paper in either of the two languages. For the selection, the candidate has to get 40% marks in the examination.
