When veteran music composer AR Rahman's performance in Pune in front of hundreds of spectators was cut short on Sunday, police arrived at the event, climbed on stage and demanded that the show be called off, the video of which has been shared on Twitter. Since then it has started going viral. After the incident, the Pune police sought an answer on the incident and told that singer AR Rahman had crossed the deadline of 10 pm.

Reports say that AR Rahman was stopped from performing when he was singing his famous song 'Chaiyya Chaiyya'. Since it was 10 in the night, he was also asked to stop his show. On Monday, the media tweeted, 'Last night Pune police stopped music maestro AR Rahman in the middle of his concert. They were performing even after 10 pm, which is not allowed.'

After the video of the concert was shared on social media, people are expressing displeasure with the police action. A user posted the video and tweeted, 'Disappointing that the police stopped AR Rahman's concert in Pune at 10.14. Understood the rule of 10 o'clock in the night, but a veteran artist like AR Rahman was not to be treated like this. He was on his last song when this incident happened.'

Sharing photos of the concert, AR Rahman tweeted on Monday, 'Pune! Thanks for the love last night. What a wonderful concert it was. No wonder Pune is the home of classical music. We will come back again to sing with you. The concert took place in Pune's Raja Bahadur Mill area.'
