NITI Aayog has stated in the SDG India Index-2019 that UP has become one of the fastest improving states under the SDG, their performance is judged based on the progress of states in social, economic and environmental sectors and their ranking Is performed. NITI Aayog's Chief Executive Officer, Amitabh Kant while releasing the SDG Index, said that the 2030 SDG of the United Nations can never be achieved without India.
