A one-day special session of the Uttar Pradesh Legislature has been convened on Tuesday. The resolution of the Constitution (126th Amendment) Bill-2019 passed in the Lok Sabha will be considered and passed in this special session. There will be no Question Hour in this session. Only Rule-51, Rule-301, and Petitions will be taken. In the special session, there is likely to be a ruckus about violent incidents and police action against the Citizenship Amendment Act.

SP MLAs will reach Vidhan Bhavan by bicycle to protest against the Citizenship Amendment Act. National President and Legislature Party leader Akhilesh Yadav has asked the MLAs to reach the SP office at 9 am on Tuesday. At the same time, Congress MLAs will support increasing the ten-year reservation facility for the Scheduled Tribes and Scheduled Tribes but will oppose not increasing the quota of Anglo Indians.
