Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, while presenting a motion against the citizenship law in the state assembly, said that Kerala has a long history of secularism. Here people from Greek, Roman, Arab and many other countries came to Kerala. Christians and Muslims also reached Kerala in early times. Our tradition is of inclusivity. In such a situation, our assembly needs to keep the tradition alive. Therefore, no detention center will ever be built in Kerala.
