Sasikala, former general secretary of AIADMK, will be discharged from the hospital today among the electoral enthusiasts in Tamil Nadu. After undergoing treatment in Bengaluru, Sasikala leaving the hospital and she will arrive among her family members. There are speculations that she may return to Tamil Nadu on 8 February. Sasikala was admitted to Victoria Hospital in Bengaluru on January 21 after a complaint of deteriorating health. Her corona result here came positive.
According to the news given by the doctors of the same hospital, her health is now fine and she will be discharged today. Sasikala has been advised to stay home quarantine. In 2017, she was sentenced to four years of imprisonment in a disproportionate assets case. After Jayalalithaa's death in 2016, Sasikala's difficulty began to increase. Sasikala was considered very close to Jayalalithaa. After her death, there was a political turmoil in the AIADMK. Sasikala was shown the route out of AIADMK. Palaniswami had taken the command of Party and state.
Earlier on 27 January 2021, Sasikala also got relief from the jail. Sasikala, who was serving a jail sentence in a disproportionate assets case, had completed all the legal procedures for her release and came out of jail officially. Political activities have also increased due to the elections in Tamil Nadu.
