Ponniyin Selvan star Chiyaan Vikram wraps up the Shoot

Chiyaan Vikram, who portrayed Aditya Karikalan in the much-anticipated film Ponniyin Selvan, has completed his shoot for the film. Vikram's manager announced on Twitter that the actor has completed shooting for his roles in the historical drama thriller movie. The actor spent 15 days shooting in Madhya Pradesh and Pondicherry.

Mani Ratnam's Ponninyin Selvan is a large-scale project. Ponniyin Selvan is based on author Kalki Krishnamurthy's historical fiction novel of the same name. The Chola dynasty's Rajaraja Chola I is the hero of the tale. Due to the COVID-19 outbreak and the resulting countrywide lockdown, the filming was interrupted twice. Now, with restrictions being eased all over India, the team of Ponninyin Selvan is progressing to shoot at a brisk phase.

The shooting began in Thailand in December of 2019 and is presently in the final stages of the first part of Ponninyin Selvan. Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's outfit from the film was recently shared on social media, and she was seen wearing a royal saree.

Vikram, Trisha, Karthi, Jayaram, Jayam Ravi, and Aishwarya Lekshmi lead in the film, which also has Prabhu, Sarathkumar, Vikram Prabhu, and Sobhita Dhulipala in supporting roles. AR Rahman composed the soundtrack for the film, and Ravi Varman handled the cinematography. Ponniniyin Selvan is divided into two parts, the first of which will be released in 2022.
