The regional transport office here has imposed a fine of Rs 9.8 lakh on the owner of a Porsche 911 sports car for violation of traffic rules. The price of the car is being reported at around two crores.

The Ahmedabad police tweeted on Friday that they had seized a Porsche car, which was plying on the road without a number plate, during a routine investigation. Also, the car did not have valid documents. After this, the transport officials imposed a fine of Rs 9.8 lakh on the car including all the outstanding taxes. Deputy Commissioner of Police Tejas Patel said that the car owner must now pay the fine to the RTO and come with a receipt to get the car back. The car will be released only after that.

Earlier such incidents have happened, a truck owner was fined Rs 6,53,100 for violating traffic rules in Sambalpur, Odisha. This included violations of several traffic rules, including insurance, violations of standards of common crime, air, and noise pollution.
