As the pandemic continues, Sandalwood stars have decided to abstain from birthday celebrations with their fans. This is the second consecutive year that actors like Ganesh, Darshan and now Prajwal Devaraj have opted for subdued birthday celebrations among family members, on July 5.

Prajwal Devaraj, on his social media page posted “Last year my fans had distributed books to deprived kids of the school which I had adopted which was a wonderful work. The situation due to the pandemic has worsened compared to last year so I have decided not to celebrate my birthday as Coronavirus has affected the lives of millions of people. I request fans that the money they invest on garland and cakes can be helped to the people who are bearing the brunt of COVID-19.”

On the occasion of his birthday, a special teaser of Veeram, which sees Prajwal Devaraj in a massy look, will be revealed. The actor has also resumed shooting for his upcoming film after a gap of nearly two months. He has wrapped up shooting for Arjun Gowda which is likely to be his next release. He has teamed up with director K Ramanarayan for Abbara.
