Central government to be felicitated by media houses that create awareness among people about Yogenan

New Delhi: The central government will felicitate the media houses who have played an active role in creating awareness among people about yoga. The six-member jury will select 11 TV, 11rakes and 11 newspapers in 23 languages. It will be assessing the reports related to yoga awareness from June 10 to June 25. Based on this, the best coverage media will be honoured on the occasion of the International Day of Yoga.

As per information received from sources, information and broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar gave this information at his residence on Saturday. International Day of Yoga is observed every year on 21st June. Javadekar said this time, PM Narendra Modi has himself announced that he will attend the function of Ranchi.  In addition, official events will also be held in Delhi, Shimla, Mysore and Ahmedabad. About 30,000 people are expected to participate in Ranchi.  The last time this event took place in Dehradun.

With this, the first ever International Yoga Day was held in Delhi in 2015. Which was attended by representatives from 191 countries. Since then, the event has also been held at Lucknow, Chandigarh. Information and broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar said that this time yoga Day will be celebrated in a big way.
