Union Minister Prakash Javadekar slammed Rahul Gandhi over the political turmoil in Punjab and said the Congress leader has to take care of this before giving speeches to others. Javadekar said at a media briefing on Friday that Rahul Gandhi needs to see his (Congress ruled) state first.

He said 1.40 lakh doses of covaxin were provided to the Punjab government for Rs 400, but they have sold the vaccine to 20 private hospitals for Rs 1,000. The Central Government should provide 22 crore covid vaccine free of cost to all the States so far. He said it was the State Governments which had demanded decentralization of covid vaccines. But now that this has been done, the same State is demanding that the vaccines be supplied from the Centre.

The Union Minister has accused the Punjab Government of ignoring the people for politics. Javadekar said Punjab is affected by covid. The vaccination campaign is not going to be well managed there. Internal strife has been going on there for the last six months. People from all over Punjab government and Congress party have been in Delhi for the last three to four days. Who will see Punjab? Even in the vaccination of covid, the State Government wants to make a profit. After all, what kind of public administration is this?
