New Delhi: Former President Pranab Mukherjee may be from the Congress party, but during his presidency, his relations with PM Modi remained very sweet. He used to talk to PM Modi before going on a foreign tour. After this, PM Modi made some notes and handed it to the President, in which there were important things on how to have or should have relations with that country.

Pranab Mukherjee said this in his book which he wrote before his death last year. Published by Rupa Publications, this book has come on the market on Tuesday. Former President Pranab Mukherjee has written in his book that the decisive mandate was given to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the 2014 and 2019 general elections clearly stated that the public wanted political stability. According to him, Narendra Modi 'earned' the post of PM.

The late Mukherjee also mentioned in his memoir 'The Presidential Years, 2012-2017' that Modi became the country's PM as the 'popular choice of the public', while Manmohan Singh was be referred by Sonia Gandhi for the post. In the book, Mukherjee wrote that every general election has its own importance because voters' views and opinions about those issues are debated.
