Kolkata: The results of assembly elections in 5 states are coming out today, with West Bengal being considered as the most important state. In the trends so far, Mamata Banerjee's Trinamool Congress seems to be gaining a bumper edge, even crossing the magic figure of the TMC majority. The BJP is trying to take on the lead in about 98 seats.

According to trends, TMC is currently leading in 187 seats.  Amidst these trends, Prashant Kishore's statement that the BJP will not win even 100 seats is going viral.  In fact, election strategist Prashant Kishore had claimed that the BJP was going to get 40 percent of the votes in the Bengal elections, but even after that, their seats would not cross 100. He had also said that if this happens, he would be able to repent of his work.

Prashant Kishore's prophecy seems to be coming true.  One more thing to note here is that TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee herself is trailing from the Nandigram assembly seat. Mamata is facing BJP's Suvendu Adhikari who has taken the lead over the TMC supremo by 8100 votes. However, the picture of the clear outcome of the election will be clear only by evening.
