Ranchi: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday (August 24) raided 17 locations in connection with the money laundering case in illegal mining in Jharkhand. During the same raid, Prem Prakash, who is said to be very special to Chief Minister Hemant Soren in Ranchi, was also raided. In that raid, the ED had found two AK 47 rifles in the search. It was then claimed that the rifle belonged to Prem Prakash. However, the real story of the two AK 47 rifles seized now has been revealed.

Actually, the AK 47 found in the search is not of Prem Prakash, but of two police constables, who have now been suspended. According to the report, these two police constables work for the Ranchi district forces. However, on August 23, when they were returning home after completing their duty, they stayed at Prem Prakash's place for some time due to heavy rains. He was acquainted with some of the staff there, so he kept his rifle in the cupboard and took the key with him. Then in the morning, both of them reached Prem Prakash's house to get their rifles, but they found that the ED raid had started there by then.

In such a situation, due to fear at that time, they did not take their rifle from the spot. But, during the investigation, the ED also seized those two AK 47s and also understood the story behind it. For this reason, both the police constables were immediately suspended for negligence. The statement of Vinod Kumar, SHO of Arogoda police station, came out on this matter. Vinod had said that the weapons (AK-47) recovered from Prem Prakash's house belong to the official security personnel of Jharkhand Police. When asked why the weapons were kept inside the cupboard, he said it would be investigated.
