New Delhi: Nubia's Redmagic 8 Pro and 8 Pro+ flagship gaming smartphones have been introduced in China. They start at CNY and CNY, or around Rs. 47,500 and Rs. 61,700, respectively.
Among other features, the 8 Pro lineup includes OLED screens with 120Hz refresh rate and 960Hz touch sampling rate, a top-tier Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and up to 165W fast charging.
After weeks of leaks and teasers, Nubia's Redmagic 8 Pro series is finally available. The smartphone lineup equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC is the first of its kind in the gaming industry.

The gadget packs a variety of gaming-specific features, the latest RAM and storage formats, state-of-the-art connectivity standards, and a robust cooling system from Qualcomm.
The standard and transparent versions of the Redmi 8 Pro and 8 Pro+ models feature 1.48mm thin bezels, an under-display fingerprint reader, and a selfie camera.
The devices flaunt a 6.8-inch full-HD+ (1116x2480 pixels) 10-bit OLED display with 120Hz refresh rate, 960Hz multi-finger touch sampling rate, 1,300-nits peak brightness, 1,440Hz PWM dimming, 100% DCI - Is. P3 color gamut, DC dimming, and a screen-to-body ratio of 93.7%.
A 50MP Samsung GN5 primary sensor, an 8MP 120° ultra-wide lens, and a 2MP macro lens round out the triple camera setup found on the REDMAGIC 8 Pro and 8 Pro+. Both the devices have a 16MP under-display camera at the front.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, along with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, is housed inside the REDMAGIC 8 Pro and 8 Pro+.
There are three different 8 Pro models: 8GB/128GB, 8GB/256GB, and 12GB/256GB. There are three different configurations of the 8 Pro+: 12GB/256GB, 16GB/512GB, and 16GB/1TB.
The phones start Redmagic OS 6.0, which is based on Android 13. Their respective 6,000mAh and 5,000mAh batteries have 80W and 165W fast-charging capabilities.
2,068mm3 VC liquid cooling, made up of 10 layers of cooling material, is available on the Redmagic 8 Pro and 8 Pro+. The devices have an RGB-lit cooling fan specially designed for them.
The frame engine is automatically stabilized thanks to Magic GPU optimization. Additionally, they have 96kHz lossless audio, 48ms low latency, and ultra-linear dual stereo speakers that support Snapdragon Sound technology.
The RedMagic 8 Pro and 8 Pro+ add an independent gaming chip called "Red Core 2" to enhance the functionality of the shoulder keys, vibration, game lighting and sound effects.
The gadgets also feature X-axis linear motors and shoulder triggers with 520Hz touch sampling.
In terms of connectivity, it has 5G, dual-SIM, Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3, a 3.5mm audio jack, three microphones, GPS and a Type-C port.

The 8GB/128GB model of the Redmagic 8 Pro is available for CNY 3,999 (roughly Rs. 47,500). With 12GB/256GB, the price of 8 Pro+ starts at CNY 5,199 (roughly Rs. 61,700). Pre-orders for both the phones are now being taken in China and the open sale will begin on December 28.
