The Delhi Government is currently working on a mission mode with the third wave of corona in many countries of the world and strong fears of coming to India. The Delhi Chief Minister held a press conference on Wednesday and said that the Delhi government will train 5000 health assistants who are going to work with doctors to fight the third wave.
Kejriwal said at press conference that 'Preparation is being made to save Delhi from the third wave. In the last few days, I have gone to several hospitals where oxygen plants are being set up, oxygen concentraters are being provided, oxygen storage arrangements are being made along with a variety of preparations for the third wave. The way medical and paramedical staff were lacking in the past waves, there should not be a third wave for which a new policy is being formulated. Keeping this in view, the Government has formulated a very big and ambitious plan, 5000 health assistants. They are called community nursing assistants in technical language. 5000 youth will be trained which will be of 2 weeks. The training is to be imparted at IP University. These people are to be followed by basic training at 9 Medical Institutes in Delhi'.
These 5000 trained assistants are going to be served as assistants to doctors and nurses, decision making cannot be in their hands. The work that the doctors will give them is going to work. They are to be trained in Basic Basic Nursing, Life Saving, Paramedics, First Aid, Home Care. Training in basic things is about learning how to measure oxygen, how to measure blood pressure, how to vaccinate in patient care, in diaper change, sample collection, how concentrater and oxygen cylinder works, how to wear masks. With such assistants, doctors will be able to work comfortably and also take care of patients. We will train and release these 5000 people, then, when they work, they will be called. The number of days they will be made to work, the more days they are going to know.
What is the process and who can train-
