1. Easy Chyawanprash Recipe

Whenever we think about winter season one thing definitely pop-up in our mind is Chyawanprash right?  Though earlier we all are not aware of eating this sticky dark-coloured paste, now, we all know that Chyawanprash is full of healthy nutrients and it is the best sources that can boost the immunity in our body. Also, Chyawanprash is a time-tested Ayurvedic formulation of herbs and spices that help defend the body from all bacterial and viral infections.

It is also assumed that 'Chyawan' was the name of the sage for whom this Ayurvedic formula was made to restore his youth and vitality, while 'Prash' implies 'specially prepared food'. Suitable for the people of all age groups, this age-old preparation is the excellent example of the richness of Indian herbs and spices. According to health experts, the key advantages of Chyawanprash involves boosting the immune system, nourishing the mucous membrane and clearing the respiratory passages.

But, with the change in time and due to the spike in demand, the authentic Chyawanprash is no more available commercially.

Step 1

First of all, wash 1.5 cups of gooseberry in cold running water and then pressure cook it in water for 1 whistle. Allow them to cool and then de-seed them gently.

Step 2

Now, take 6 green cardamom, 1.5 tablespoon peppercorn, 1 medium cinnamon stick, 1 tablespoon cumin seeds, 2 tablespoon fennel seeds and grind them to a fine powder.

Step 3

non-stick pan and once heated, add ghee to it.

step 4

Add the de-seeded gooseberries and saute till the oil leaves the sides of the pan.
