President, Amit Shah, Rajnath remember Bravehearts of 26/11 terror attacks

New Delhi: President Ram Nath Kovind, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defence Minister Rajanth Singh paid respect to the bravehearts and commended them for their heroism and valour on the 13th anniversary of the Mumbai terror strikes on Friday.

"My sincere condolences to the martyrs and honour to the victims of the Mumbai terror attacks on November 26, 2001. The bravery and sacrifice of the security forces who gave their life in the line of duty will always be remembered by the nation "President Ram Nath Kovind sent out a message.

In a Hindi tweet, Shah paid tribute to the heroes: "I pay my respects to the martyrs of the Mumbai terror attacks on November 26, 2001, who bravely confronted the terrorists. The country as a whole will be proud of their bravery and grateful for their sacrifice."

Rajnath wrote on Twitter: "We commemorate the innocent souls lost on the 13th anniversary of the Mumbai terror tragedy on November 26. My condolences to everyone who died as a result of those attacks. During the 26/11 assaults, our security forces demonstrated exceptional bravery. I admire and respect their bravery and sacrifice." In the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks, 166 people were killed, including 18 security officers.
