The President Pranab Mukherjee conveyed his condolence to the people who lost their life in a bus accident in Uttarakhand yesterday by writing to  Dr Krishan Kant Paul, the Governor of Uttarakhand.

President said, "My thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the accident. I am sure that the State Government and other agencies are taking necessary steps to provide all possible help to the bereaved families who have lost their near and dear ones as well as medical assistance to the injured. Please convey my heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased. I wish a speedy recovery to those injured".

In a bus accident near Dharasu in Uttarkashi district, many people lost their lives while other suffered from injuries.
