Dehradun: President Ram Nath Kovind is reaching Dehradun on Friday evening to participate in the IMA parade. For this, along with security arrangements, the police have also prepared a traffic plan. For this, route diversion arrangements will be made from all the places from Jolly Grant airport to IMA. This arrangement will be implemented even before their convoy leaves.
Jolly Grant Airport, Bhaniyawala Tiraha, Rispana, Raipur, EC Road, New Cantt Road, Vijay Colony Bridge, Raj Bhavan, Chief Minister's Residence Tiraha, GTC Helipad, Garhi Cantt Chowk, Kaulagarh Chowk, Under FRI Zone, Ballupur Chowk, Under IMA Zone at the time of President's departure There will be zero zone on all VVIP routes etc. Diversion plan from 9:30 am to 12 noon and 5 pm to 9 pm due to rehearsal/passing out parade ceremony of IMA Parade. All heavy vehicles going from Dehradun side to Vikasnagar/ Premnagar/ Selakui via Ballupur Chowk will be diverted from GMS Road via St. Jude Chowk via Shimla By Pass. Simultaneously, two wheeler / light trains will be diverted from Tyagi Market via Panditwadi post, from Ranganwala Tiraha to Mitthi Beri via Daru Chowk and will be sent towards Premnagar towards the destination.
All heavy vehicles coming from Vikasnagar towards Dehradun will be diverted from Herbertpur Chowk to Dharmawala Chowk. Due to which the said traffic will be able to come towards the city from Dharmawala Chowk via Shimla bypass. All four wheelers coming from Selakui / Bhauwala / Sudhowala to Dehradun will be diverted from Dhulkot Tirahe and sent towards new village via Singhniwala. Two wheelers coming from Premnagar to Dehradun will be diverted from Premnagar to Mitthi Beri towards Ranganwala Tirahe while four wheelers will be sent from Tyagi Market, Mithi Beri to Shimla Bypass.
