Ram Nath Kovind the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) Presidential nominee for the upcoming presidential elections met the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He also met the other Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLAs and MPs.
Mr Kovind also met the son of Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Pankaj Singh and the BJP MLA from Noida, also met Kovind. He said that "we are very much excited about it. India will get it first president from Uttar Pradesh".
On Thursday the Former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar was declared as the Opposition's Presidential nominee. Earlier on Friday, Ram Nath Kovind filed his nomination. The nomination process for the Presidential elections will continue till June 28.
On July 17 the election for the next President of India is scheduled to take place.
