New Delhi: Swords have been extracted between the central government and the opposition over a scuffle with security personnel in the Rajya Sabha on Wednesday. After the Congress allegations, eight Ministers at the Centre have now held press conferences to present the reality of the opposition to the country. Union Minister Anurag Thakur said that while the people of the country wait for their issues to be raised in the House, the opposition's only agenda from street to parliament was only anarchy. Instead of shedding crocodile tears, the opposition should apologize to the country.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Prahlad Joshi said in a press conference, "The Congress and its allies had already decided not to allow Parliament to function. They did not allow the introduction of new ministers, the opposition did not allow many important bills to be discussed. We demand that the Rajya Sabha Speaker should take strict action against opposition MPs who break the rules.' The Upper House witnessed the unprecedented deployment of security personnel on Wednesday to prevent the recurrence of lewd incidents such as opposition members climbing the table. But even then, opposition members in the House came in front of the seat and raised slogans and tossed documents and some members got entangled with security personnel trying to move towards the seat.
Opposition members came in front of the seat and raised anti-government slogans. However, the cordon created by about 50 security personnel prevented these members from going to the officers' desks and asanas. This security personnel was deployed in such a way that male security personnel and women security personnel were standing in front of the protesting women MPs.
