Indian car giant Mahindra & Mahindra has just unveiled the name of its latest SUV offering: the XUV 3XO. Pronounced '3-ex-Oh', this dynamic vehicle is set to hit the roads on April 29, promising an exhilarating driving experience.

According to the company's press release, the XUV 3XO is designed to seamlessly blend thrilling performance, state-of-the-art technology, striking design, and top-notch safety features. It aims to fulfill the desires of city drivers, offering triple the excitement in every journey and exceeding expectations in all aspects of SUV ownership.

Manufactured at Mahindra's facility in Nashik, Maharashtra, this SUV is expected to continue the company's success in the market. Mahindra's SUV sales surged by 40% year-on-year in February, reaching 42,401 units. The company's current electric vehicle lineup includes the XUV 400, and the upcoming models will be based on an all-new EV platform, maintaining the focus on utility and SUVs.

In India, SUVs have been gaining popularity, with a significant increase in demand over recent years. Last year's surge in domestic sales of SUVs has continued into 2024, with utility vehicles contributing to nearly 60% of total passenger vehicle sales from April 2023 to February 2024, as per industry data.

Mahindra & Mahindra's passenger vehicle wholesales saw a substantial 28% increase in FY24, reaching 459,877 units compared to 359,253 units in FY23. This indicates the company's strong position in the market and its commitment to delivering innovative and appealing vehicles to consumers.
