Khandwa: An unpleasant incident is coming to the fore from Omkareshwar, one of the 12 major Jyotirlingas of the country. Here the priests and staff of the temple are beating a lot of visitors in the temple premises itself. This incident took place in the presence of the police. Due to this, there is a lot of anger among the visitors. It is alleged that the priests of the temple are giving quick darshan to the devotees of God by taking money and common devotees are waiting for hours. Here the priests say that a person had misbehaved with the temple staff, due to which this situation was created. 

In fact, a huge crowd of devotees is gathering these days at Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga in Khandwa district. Even after there is no festival or festival, more than one lakh devotees are coming here everyday. The Pandits of Omkareshwar themselves are surprised that how suddenly the number of visitors has increased so much? On the other hand, the suspension bridge of Omkareshwar is closed for almost 2 months, due to which there is a lot of crowd on the old bridge itself. Visitors are also reaching the temple in large numbers. Controversy is often created here in the race for quick darshan. A similar situation prevailed on Saturday when a devotee accused the temple pundits of favoritism. 

The same people have been queuing up for hours and they are giving back door entry after taking money. This quarrel increased so much that the situation reached to a fight. The video of devotees being assaulted in the presence of the police has gone viral. However, the dispute ended only with the intervention of the police. No police report has been lodged in the matter.
