Prime Minister Narendra Modi is all set to visit Jammu on Tuesday to kickstart a series of development projects worth more than Rs.32,000 crore. This visit comes with heightened security measures in Jammu and Kashmir.

During his visit, PM Modi will launch various initiatives aimed at bolstering education, railway, aviation, and road infrastructure. Among the highlights is the distribution of appointment orders to around 1,500 new recruits for the Jammu and Kashmir government.

Under the banner of 'Viksit Bharat Viksit Jammu', PM Modi will engage with beneficiaries of government schemes, emphasizing the government's commitment to development.

One of the major announcements expected during the visit is the laying of the foundation stone for a new terminal building at Jammu Airport. This modern facility, spanning 40,000 square meters, is designed to accommodate up to 2000 passengers during peak hours while showcasing the local culture.

Railway development is also in focus, with PM Modi dedicating various projects including a new rail line between Banihal-Khari-Sumber-Sangaldan and the electrified Baramulla-Sringar-Banihal-Sangaldan section. He will also flag off the first Electric Train in the valley and inaugurate train services between Sangaldan station & Baramulla station.

Security measures have been tightened across Jammu and Kashmir ahead of PM Modi's visit, ensuring a safe and smooth execution of the scheduled events.
