One of the most popular shows on Netflix, The Crown, which is based on the lives of the Royal family. We have previously seen how a few royal family members have responded to the show based on their personal experiences and confirmed if they had watched it. The unusual comment made by Prince Charles about the popular programme was just made public by Scottish politician Anas Sarwar.

The Prince of Wales only mentioned the Netflix series once, according to Scottish minister Anas Sarwar, who was speaking at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe in 2022. Prince Charles mentioned it while presenting himself to lawmakers at an event last year. Josh O'Connor has played the part of Prince Charles in The Crown's third and fourth seasons.

Recalling how Prince Charles referenced the show, Sarwar said, "He came over and went, 'Hello, nice to meet you all. I'm nowhere near how they portray me on Netflix", via The Daily Mail. The politician insisted that it struck him as a unique way to introduce himself. The Scottish minister continued by mentioning the possible consequences of disclosing their private conversation's specifics.

Prince Harry previously spoke about the show and told James Corden that it gives a rough idea about the royal lifestyle and the pressures of duty. It has also been reported that Queen Elizabeth's granddaughter Princess Eugenie as well as Prince Edward and his wife Sophie, Countess of Wessex have watched the show.

Josh O'Connor's performance as the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip on the popular series earned him an Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series last year, despite the Prince of Wales' disapproval of his portrayal on the show. Regarding the upcoming Season 5 of The Crown, Dominic West will now play Prince Charles, and Elizabeth Debicki will take on the role of Princess Diana. Jonathan Pryce will play Prince Philip, and Imelda Staunton will play the Queen in the programme.
