Lucknow: Action has started on the investigation report in the matter of giving 1083 hectare land of the forest department to the Jaypee Group in Sonbhadra during the recent BSP rule. The Government has removed Principal Secretary Forest Kalpana Awasthi and Principal Chief Conservator of Forests and Head of Department Pawan Kumar. CM Yogi Adityanath had ordered the removal of Pawan Kumar on November 7, but Kalpana Awasthi had advocated for keeping Pawan till the inquiry report came. At the same time, it has been raising the matter prominently since the year 2014. CM Yogi Adityanath had investigated the case with Additional Chief Secretary Revenue Renuka Kumar. Renuka Kumar submitted his report to the Chief Minister recently. Now Principal Secretary Horticulture and Food Processing Sudhir Garg have been given additional charge of the Forest Department.
