According to the actor and his band Hollywood Vampires, Johnny Depp has a "painful" ankle ailment. Depp said in a statement that he has been told to avoid "all activity for the moment" in an Instagram Stories post.

"It started out as a hairline break, but between Cannes and the Royal Albert Hall, it got worse instead of better. I've been strongly advised by several medical professionals to stop doing anything right now, so I'm regrettably unable to travel at this time, the actor-musician stated.

Johnny's statement read, “Dear friends, I am sorry to say that I have fractured my ankle, which is a drag!!! It began as a hairline break but somewhere between Cannes and Royal Albert Hall, it got worse rather than better. Several medical professionals have strongly suggested I avoid any and all activity for the moment and so am sadly unable to travel at this time."
