Shimla: Corona epidemic has greatly affected every state of the country. Due to Corona, many work in the country has created obstacles. Meanwhile, due to non-fulfillment of diesel expenses in the Corona era, the Private Bus Operators Association has made preparations to close many routes. The association has decided to close about 100 bus routes in the state from August 4.

With this, if the situation remains the same in the coming days, then buses can be reduced on other routes as well. We have decided to stop 100 bus routes in the state from Tuesday. Earlier, private buses used to run on 500 routes in the state. Now with the closure of 100 bus routes, buses will run on 400 routes only. The association can also take a big decision regarding these routes in the future. After the increase in bus fares, the association was expecting that the ridership would increase gradually, but this could not happen.

People traveling continuously in private buses also stopped traveling for the last few days. Even on the Rakshabandhan festival, empty buses continued to run on the streets. Giving information about the President of Himachal Private Bus Operators Association, Rajesh Parashar Raju said that the association is going to close 100 of the 500 routes in the state from August 4. Private buses will run on only 10 routes from 18 routes in the city Una. Private bus operators are incessant losses. Only if there is any kind of improvement in the situation, only then can the decision be changed.
