Private train companies are now coming forward to start their operation. They are ready to bring a big change in rail operations, with a large ost pu coming up as many companies came forward to run these trains from the city to different parts of the country.

According to South Central Railway (SCR), 10 companies have shown interest in private train operations from the Secunderabad cluster. 120 applications have been received from 15 applicant organizations, including public sector departments for 12 clusters for private operations across the country.

15 companies include Megha Engineering and Infrastructures Limited, BHEL, L&T Infrastructure Development Projects Ltd and GMR Highways Ltd. The railway has finalized 11 routes from the zone running private trains. These include Lingampally-Tirupati daily, Cherlapalli-Chennai daily, Lingampally-Guntur daily, Secunderabad-Guwahati two weeks, Cherlapalli-Varanasi weekly and Cherlapalli-Panvel Weekly. The railway plans to run a semi-high speed train tejas on the Lingampally route. It has modern onboard facilities like Rajdhani Express, Gatiman Express, Century Express and Duranto Express.
