Priya Tendulkar is India's first TV star but very few people know her. You must have seen Priya in many films and TV serials. She was always known by her first TV avatar 'Rajani'. She made headlines by working in a 1985-produced serial directed by Basu Chatterjee.
In this show, she played the role of a simple housewife who raised her voice against corruption and social evils, which was excellent. She was born on 19 October 1954 and she died on 19 September 2002 due to cancer. She was the daughter of famous playwright Vijay Tendulkar and had two sisters and a brother.
