Actress Priyanka Chopra Jonas, who is gearing up for the release of her upcoming spy-action thriller series Citadel, has shared that for the first time in her 22 years’ career, she got equal pay with Citadel.
The actress has been busy promoting the series ahead of its premiere, and in a recent interaction, Priyanka spoke about moving to the West, and how she navigated, after foraying into Hollywood. Priyanka Chopra was asked about Shah Rukh Khan’s comment on why he doesn’t want to do Hollywood films.
The interviewer asked Priyanka Chopra about how she was able to make it in Hollywood, and while doing so, also quoted Shah Rukh Khan’s comment on why he doesn’t want to move to Hollywood. “So many actors who have come, Hollywood just wastes them. So many desi actors…like Shah Rukh Khan says, ‘why should I go there (Hollywood), I’m comfortable here,” said the interviewer, further asking Priyanka how she was able to make it in Hollywood. Priyanka reacted to this and said that for her, ‘comfortable is boring’. She said that she isn’t ‘arrogant,’ she is ‘self-assured,’ adding that she knows what she is doing when she walks onto a set. “I don’t need the validation of executives. I am willing to take auditions, I am willing to work. I do not carry the baggage of my success in one country when I walk into another country,” said Priyanka.She also said that she is known for her professionalism, and that she takes pride in that fact. Her father was in the military, and Priyanka said that it was he who taught her the value of discipline. “He taught me not to take the value of what you have been given for granted,” said Priyanka.
Both Shahrukh and Priyanka are doing a movie Don 3 which dates are going to be announced in 2023, Don 3 is an upcoming sequal to the very popular Don franchise, Started by 1978, original movie Don, Starring Amitabh Bacchan and Zeenat Amaan in kead roles, While there was a Reeboot made in 2006.
Priyanka started her acting career with the Tamil movie 'Thamizhan' in 2002 and later marked her Bollywood debut in 2003 with 'The Hero: Love Story of a Spy'. Now, the actress will be next seen alongside Richard in the series 'Citadel' backed by Russo Brother. Priyanka also has 'Love Again' with Sam Heughan and Celine Dion. Written and directed by James C Strouse, the film is an English-language remake of the 2016 German film 'SMS fur Dich', which was based on a novel by Sofie Cramer.
