He has urged the government to review law and order and take immediate steps regarding security.

In the case of the murder of a Dalit village head in Azamgarh district of the state, Rahul Gandhi tweeted, "Jungle Raj of ethnic violence and rape is at the peak in Uttar Pradesh. Now another terrible incident - Sarpanch Satyamev turned out to be a Dalit and said 'No', due to which he was killed. Condolences to the family members of Satyamev Ji."

According to media reports, the village head Satyamev refused to sign any documents related to the MGNREGA, which led to the bullets being shot and killed. Congress in-charge of Uttar Pradesh, Priyanka Gandhi, while targeting Yogi Adityanath government over alleged incidents of rape of women and minor girls in several districts of the state in the last few days, said that the state government should review law and order.
