New Delhi: Voting is underway for assembly elections in West Bengal, Assam, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, and Kerala today. Voting has started at 7 am. Former Congress National President Rahul Gandhi has also appealed to the people to participate in the voting while his sister and Congress party national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra also tweeted urging people to vote.

Priyanka Gandhi tweeted, "Today is the last phase of elections in Assam. I appeal to all voters and brothers to vote in large numbers to strengthen the democratic process. I am confident that the people of Assam will choose the path of guaranteed progress today.'' In another tweet, she wrote that voting has started in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Puducherry. I urge my sisters and brothers to vote in large numbers and ensure a strong, progressive, and prosperous future for themselves.

Priyanka Gandhi has campaigned hard in Assam. Priyanka has lashed out at the BJP in her rallies. Priyanka has said that the BJP is acting like a mafia, a syndicate is going on in Assam. Tea plantations cheated laborers, youth, and tribals and implemented the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA). Priyanka had termed the BJP as wrong at the rally and said the Modi government handed over the airport to her billionaire friends. He stole the land of the farmers and handed them over to the big comrades of the BJP.
