Priyanka writes letter to CM Yogi, demanding to investigate woman officer's suicide case

Lucknow: Congress Party national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has demanded a re-investigation by the Yogi government in the suicide case of PCS officer Manimanjari Rai posted in Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. Priyanka said that the people of Manimanjari Rai's family are very upset. This entire matter should be investigated objectively. In this case Manimanjari Rai's father had raised suspicion of murder.

Priyanka Vadra wrote on her Facebook wall, 'Her family is upset with the tragic incident that happened with PCS officer Mani Manjari Rai posted in Ballia. Family members say that there should be a transparent investigation. I have written a letter to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, requesting to bring out all the facts by conducting a transparent investigation in it. Hope that the family of Mani Manjari ji gets justice.'

Priyanka has already demanded to be investigated in this matter. Earlier, she wrote in a tweet, 'Sad news received regarding Manimanjari, a young officer resident of Ghazipur posted in Ballia. According to reports, she raised serious questions on the functioning of the administration. In order for Manimanjari's family to get justice, all the facts are exposed and a fair investigation is absolutely necessary.
