Tezpur: Political agitation has intensified in the state regarding the Assam Assembly elections. All the parties are making every effort to woo the voters of the state in their favor. It is constantly being tried by Congress that somehow the present BJP government in the state be ousted from power. For this, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has taken command in Assam.

During a rally in Tezpur in Assam, Priyanka targeted the BJP fiercely and said that if the Congress government is formed in the state, then we will not allow the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) to be implemented. Addressing the rally, Priyanka Vadra said, "We will make a law that CAA will not apply here". Meanwhile, Priyanka Gandhi reminded the BJP government of the promises made by the present government did not fulfill promises and attacked your identity too.

Priyanka Gandhi also made many big promises from the stage of the rally. She said that we are not promising but giving you a guarantee. These guarantees are to improve your future. Making a big announcement about the housewives of Assam, Priyanka said that, "When the Congress government comes, housewives will be given 2000 rupees per month as house money."
