Lucknow: There is outrage across the country following the gang-rape incident in Hathras in Uttar Pradesh. The UP government is being attacked by Congress continuously. On Thursday, former Congress president Rahul Gandhi and national general secretary Priyanka Gandhi have left for Hathras. In the meantime, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra attacked the UP government over the Hathras incident.

The two leaders have ventured through DND to Hathras via Taj Expressway. But their convoy was intercepted near Greater Noida. In the meantime, Priyanka Gandhi attacked the Yogi Adityanath government. Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that "I have an 18-year-old daughter, who is angry at such incidents. Every woman should be angry at such incidents. Where is it written in our Hindu religion that the funeral should be done without the family?"

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra said that "CM is responsible for the security of the state, every day incidents of rape are taking place in the state. Strict action is not being taken. You are the keepers of Hinduism, you have made a situation that a father is not able to burn his daughter's pyre". Congress MP Rahul Gandhi is also accompanying the convoy and leading the march on foot. Thousands of Congress workers crossed the DND on Thursday afternoon and entered the UP border, but the convoy was later stopped.
