Priyanka hits out at Yogi govt as teachers died on election duty in UP

Lucknow: Congress Party National General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi has targeted the Yogi government in Uttar Pradesh over the death figures of teachers. She termed the government's figures as lies and termed them insensitive. Priyanka Gandhi tweeted that the teachers did not get proper safety equipment and treatment while living. At the same time, she wrote that even after his death, the government is not taking any action.

 

 

Priyanka wrote in her tweet, "The list of 1621 teachers killed while on duty in panchayat elections is being described by the insensitive UP government as just 3 as a lie. Teachers did not get proper safety equipment and treatment and now the government is taking away their honour after death.' The state government's basic education minister Satish Dwivedi has hit back saying that only three teachers have died while on election duty. We are taking action to compensate their families. Also Dwivedi said that, other teachers may have died of corona. The Basic Education Minister has hit out at Priyanka and Rahul Gandhi saying they should not play politics on dead bodies.
