New Delhi: Congress General Secretary Priyanka Vadra has protested against the arrest of Bhim Army Chief Chandrasekhar Azad alias Ravana in Delhi. On Thursday, Priyanka Vadra wrote in a tweet, "This insult to the voice of the people is out of bounds. This is an emotional matter. Their voice should be respected.'
In another tweet, Priyanka said that the BJP government first plays with the Ravidas temple site, symbolizing the cultural heritage of millions of Dalit sisters and brothers, and when thousands of Dalit brothers raise their voices in the country's capital, the BJP is showering lathi on them. In fact, protests were witnessed in several parts of the capital on Wednesday over the demolition of the Ravidas temple on the orders of the Supreme Court.
Supporters from different parts of the country gathered at Ramlila Maidan in central Delhi to protest. The mob caused jams in several districts of Delhi. In the Tughlakabad area of south-east Delhi, the crowd gathered in protest went out of control. According to the report, the angry mob suddenly attacked the paramilitary forces and the Delhi Police on the spot. The loudspeaker warned the crowd to exercise restraint several times. When the mob was not controlled, the police arrested Bhim Army Chief Chandrasekhar.
