 “We once decided that Priyanka would refrain from attending any meetings, going out, or socializing beyond 7-7.30 pm in the evening," In a conversation with Josh Talks Asha, she commented. She claimed that Priyanka upheld her decision.. “Aur fir kya karegi, kya nahi karegi, tehzeeb-tameez ke dayare ke andar, vo usne nahi kiye (she did not do what she was not comfortable with)… She lost many films because she refused to do some scenes which she thought are not worth it," Added she. Moreover, Madhu stated that she had told Priyanka that she was under no obligation to pursue a career in Bollywood and that the situation was not "do or die." Madhu stressed that Priyanka had many options and could always decide to pick up her education again or look into new job paths.

Madhu consented and gave up her job as an army doctor. This was yet another compromise I made, she continued. I really wanted her to take advantage of the chance. Forget about your profession and follow Priyanka, they advised. Because I believed I had a fantastic life, I didn't give my career a second thought before abandoning it for her. Now, if my business can assist her have a bright future, I will do that.
