Congress leader arrives to pay compensation to Sonbhadra victims on Priyanka Vadra's order

Sonbhadra: After  massacre in Sonbhadra district of Uttar Pradesh, the National General Secretary of the Congress Party Priyanka Gandhi had announced 10 lakh rupees to the families of the victims. After which, on the direction of Priyanka Vadra, a Congress team has reached Sonbhadra where she provided a cheque for the compensation to the affected families.

Giving details about the team which left for the Sonbhadra victims, the Congress leader said that a Congress team has reached Sonbhadra to provide compensation to the victims. The team which arrived at Sonbhadra includes Congress leader Ajay Kumar Lallu, former MLA Bhagwati Prasad Chaudhary, former MLA Lalitesh husband Tripathi, state secretary of Women's Congress Sangeeta Srivastava.

In Uttar Pradesh, 10 people were killed in the July 17 massacre at Umbha village in Sonbhadra. In fact, the whole controversy began with the land, in which more than 300 people in 32 tractor-trailers, including the village head and his nephew, had reached to occupy a land and the whole incident later turned into a major controversy.  After the incident, the Congress General Secretary had reached Sonbhadra to meet the victims.
